The International Aikido Academy (IAA) is the independent international aikido self-defense organization. The goal of IAA is to lift Aikido training internationally to its highest possible level and to pass Aikido on to future generations through the development of quality, professional instruction.

Aikido is not a Sport, but a Martial Art. It is not for competition but for realistic self-defence and personal physical and spiritual development. Although with routs in Japanese martial art, International Aikido Academy defense system expresses Slavic nature and spirit. All strategies and tactics are based on Slavic understanding of fight including fast and fluid movements. Includes unarmed techniques, as well as defense against weapons such as knife, pistol, etc.

IAA was founded by Head Instructor Bratislav Stajic, in 2009. He brought over 30 years of Aikido training experience to IAA and its programs. The organization provides support and guidance to its instructors, members, and affiliated dojo.

Mr. Stajic, known for his powerful and dynamic Aikido as well as for his unique and effective teaching methodology, is approachable by students of all levels. He is also more than willing to share his method of teaching and what he's learned in his more than 30 years of Aikido experience.
